C2E chalk art competition winners

21 January 2016

On Saturday 12 December, the Central to Eveleigh team celebrated the launch of Eveleigh Stories at Australian Technology Park’s Heritage Open Day. As part of the event, we ran a competition for the best photos taken with amazing 3D chalk art drawn by talented artists Anton and Rudy.

The designs reflected the history of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops as well the role of the park today as a home for creative and innovative industries. We talked to hundreds of people to raise awareness about the Program and Eveleigh Stories, and also encouraged everyone to enter the competition on social media. Judging the entries was a difficult task, but after marking them against the two criteria: creativity and composition, the 10 winners were chosen. You can view all entries by searching #c2echalkart on Facebook and Instagram.

Eveleigh Stories is a free interactive website and app that celebrates the rich history, people and events of the Eveleigh Railway Workshops. People with their own memories of the area can contribute to this online time capsule of history-making stories. Visit www.eveleighstories.com.au to learn more or share your own story.
