Next steps for North Eveleigh

15 December 2015

The Central to Eveleigh team is currently finalising a report that will summarise the community's comments from November's engagement activities around North Eveleigh.

Around 120 people attended the community workshop on 12 November and more than 3,300 people visited the website, with 200 providing feedback online between 27 October and 30 November.

We heard there is strong concern about proposed heights, particularly the proposal for 20 storey buildings next to the railway line. Other concerns relate to parking and traffic; pedestrian safety; site access; capacity of schools, train services and other infrastructure; and impact on the heritage character of the area.

We’ve prepared responses to a number of the questions raised through the consultation which you can view here.

Our job is to plan development in the Central to Eveleigh area to accommodate the future growth of Sydney in a way that balances metropolitan, inner city and local neighbourhood needs.
