In November 2014 we conducted a telephone survey of around 500 residents living in and around the corridor in November 2014. The results have informed our thinking about the urban transformation plan for the corridor. Areas the survey identified that The Program can contribute to include improving open and green space, housing diversity, job opportunities and recognition of heritage assets.
The survey indicated that we can also build on the strengths of great community spirit, a diversity of shops, community facilities and the areas location to education and transport services. The survey showed there was concern about the impact of high rise development but that development could have good outcomes if planned and delivered well and we will be working to acknowledge this through our planning and engagement. A report on the findings is available from the document library.
